I was contacted by the person (a non Dobermann owner) that rescued Ingo. She was very concerned with placing him in an appropriate home. He doing well in his new home and when and if the new owner wants to come forward, she will. If someone has FACTS about this situation then they can start a NEW topic. This topic was a litter announcement. New thread per Sonterra's previous post. Thomas, I'm curious and confused. In your advisory role regarding Ingo's placement following the rescue from the property of Amanda Layne Shadforth aka Amanda Kelley was it you that recommend he NOT be returned to his breeder, Lisa Poppelvig of Ascomannis?

Jimmy,
If you would care to identify yourself, I'd consider answering your question. I will not answer a question from a sock puppet who just joined the list today.

Well, I might hardly post but I'm not a sock puppet and I'd love to know the answer to that question.
Thomas, I would suppose you to be a loyal supporter of Lisa's and I, too, wonder why you'd aid Lacey Vessel in keeping Ingo instead of returning him to his breeder.

Thomas, I think that quite a few people would be interested in hearing an answer to this question. Forgive me if I am wrong, but didn't you recieve two of your own dogs from Lisa Poppelvig ? I would hope that one would have some loyalties to the breeder of their own dogs.

This is the EXACT reason I was reluctant to get into this. You try to reassure people that Ingo is in a nice home and you get accused of being disloyal to the breeder. I did not know Lacey before she contacted me. I gave her my opinion but SHE made the decision on where to place him. This was what I replied to Lacey
Hi Lacey,
I would trust Lisa Schuler completely. My first Doberman Dubheasa Germania was from her kennel. I Co breed the Ascomannis J litter that my Ascomannis Jago was from. Lisa knows her lines and I'm sure she is suggesting an appropriate person for you to place the dog with. I'm sure if she was not living in Denmark she'd come get the dog herself. I just acquired a 8 month old female from one of the L litter females, who's owner couldn't keep her on Sunday. Lisa tries as hard as anyone to place her puppies in working homes. Unfortunately peoples situations change and they don't always tell you the truth about their commitment or abilities in dealing with a working Dobermann puppy. Do you have more info on the Doberboy. How old is he and what litter he is from and why the original owner can't keep him?
Thank you for your efforts for this boy. __________________ Thomas Barriano Belatucadrus (08/14/05) Dutch Boy BH TT Flannchadh von der Bavarianburg (5/21/08)BH CGC
Now if I've satisfied everyone's interest in my 'loyalty" (or even if I haven't) I'll go train my dogs

Thomas,
It sounds as though you did put in good word for Lisa Poppelvig. However, you say "thank you for your efforts for this boy "
I am assuming that you must have had some information on how Lacey came to have Ingo.
Did you in turn, relay this very important information to Ingo's breeder....your breeder. I think that most of us, would have made an immediate attemt to relay this information to the breeder.
I think that this is why your loyalty is being questioned.

It will be very interesting to keep a watch, and see who Ingo will sire in the future.

This whole situation makes me SICK... ANIMALS DIED!!! People are protecting a person who is capable of locking a dog in crate with a (shock) bark collar on and left him there to starve... and what of Friday??? A dog who was never had a SINGLE human being that did not fail her! I applauded the rescuers in the begining... but with the new info that has come too light I am just digusted.... what about the 200 birds?
I pray that the DNA and getting Amanda's name out there helps to make sure she is NEVER able to do this again....

I so agree with you, her so named "friends" come andclean up Amandas mess, take the valuable dogs ( Ingo) let others there and don't care and now they keep some dogs, so Amanda can start new and fresh, Ingo should go back to his breeder, he got to Amanda without her permission in the first place. I wonder how those people can sleep at night.

How does one have 200 birds and NO one noticed??? Like no one noticed a 35 lb doberman in a crate in 100 degree heat with a bark collar on! I am just disgusted with humanity at this point! The animals have been the one with NO voice in this from day 1!

It was very well known in the working Dobermann community that Lisa Poppelvig was not in favor of Ingo being placed with Amanda. Lisa made attempt to stop the exchange of Ingo from Ron Curfs to Amanda before he was shipped to Amanda with no success.
In a working Dobermann such as Ingo, I have been amazed at how little respect has been shown toward Lisa, the very person that was responsible for putting this dog on the planet.
This has been a discrace and an embarrassment. There are those of us that believe in upholding a certain standard, and share a belief in respecting our breeders, especially ones that have made such a huge contribution to this breed.

As a breeder I feel for Lisa, I have seen personally how well she cares for her dogs and am not sure why someone wouldn't return the dog to her. What happened to doing what is right and moral. I am so tierd of people that can "BS" well on the internet getting away with murder!

So Thomas, does it suprise you that apparently people are refusing to give the dog back to Lisa, who WANTS the dog back? Apparently Lacey has gone ahead and registered the dog herself with the AKC and is now Ingo's owner - and Lisa still wants her dog, that she bred, back.

Obviously I have been on another planet and am not aware of any of this. I am curious where people are getting this information. Do any of you have any first hand knowledge of what happened or is this all just 2nd and 3rd hand info passed online?
