Mark your calendars and consider who you would like to enter at this unique opportunity. The United Doberman Club National Specialty will be held April 19-25 at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, Missouri. We have a special rate at the host hotel. The information should be up on the UDC website very soon, www.uniteddobermanclub.com/national2012/, or you can email me at doug@kansadobe.com for details.
We have a great schedule lined up. We will be having an IPO Trial, Internationally recognized ZTP, 2 Conformation Shows with International Judges, and 2 Obedience Trials. We also will be offering a 2 day Obedience and Working Seminar with Bridgit Carlsen and Greg Doud, a Tracking seminar with Al Govednik, and a protection worhshop with Wayne Singleton. The tentative schedule is below:
Thursday & Friday, April 19-20 - Obedience and Working Dog Seminar with Bridgit Carlsen and Greg Doud
Friday, April 20 - UDC Breed Survey - Dr. May Jacobson judge
UDC Conformation Temperament Test (Required for Conformation Show) - Dr. May Jacobson judge
Saturday, April 21 - IPO Trial - Al Govednik judge
Protection Workshop with Wayne Singleton (After Trial)
Sunday, April 22 - ZTP - Rudi Killmaier (DV - Germany) judge
Tracking Seminar with Al Govednik (morning)
Banquet Dinner - Evening at Purina Farms
Monday, April 23 - Obedience Trial - Sally Burgess (AKC) judge
Conformation Show - Rudi Killmaier (DV - Germany) judge
Tuesday, April 24 - Obedience Trail - Ginger Kinion (AKC) judge
Conformation Show - Rob Douma (DVIN - Holland) judge
Remember, at a UDC Conformation Show each dog gets a written critique from the judge.
A Canine Good Citizen Test is also planned and possibly a Search and Rescue workshop or activity.
NOTE: For entry into the ZTP the dog's hips must be evaluated and passed by the DV and all paperwork must be in the DV office 6 weeks before the ZTP. So the hip x-rays will need to be submitted right away. Please contact me for details. We will be collecting all of the paperwork and submitting it to the DV as a group. Many people have been asking for a ZTP in the Midwest, so now here is your oportunity. Please help support this internationally recognized breeding suitability evaluation.
