toughening up paw pads

Starting out on slow runs, then making the length longer and longer will help. You really have to ease into it. The pads tear very easily. There's not much you can do other than wrap them once they are cut/tore. Starting out slow is the way to go. The dogs pads will get tougher and tougher as they get used to it. Maybe someone else has another idea..... But this would be my recomendation. My dog gets a 2mile run a couple times a week on the 4 wheeler. He runs through all kinds of terain, dirt tracks,gravel roads, woods and pavement. He hasn't had a problem in quite a while with his pads.

if i were you i would get mushers secret and use tis on her paws, it works wonder
