Hello Kjersti...good news hearing the holter results are excellent. Very few people would push their dog physically while doing the holter in fear of getting bad news...good for you!
I haven't heard anymore of the DNA heart test done out at WSU. Does anyone know if they have canceled that program?
Thanks, John K.

Dr. Meurs recently relocated her laboratory to North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she is Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies as well as the director of the NCSU Veterinary Cardiac Genetics & Holter Laboratories.
Although I tested my dogs, too, I'm seriously questioning the value of the results. They say absolutely nothing about the health of your dogs at the present time or the future, nor do they have any value in terms of breeding recommendations.
The good news is, now the test is $ 51 each ($ 60 before) because they no longer give a discount if you test more than 4 dogs at a time.
Congrats on the holter results!! Good luck for the trials.

What is protection training? This is the first time I've heard of it.
