back from an absolut amazing event with such a lot of faboulos dogs and results. !!
tracking was not to hard, so many teams gets an high very good up to excellent.
the obiedence judge was okay, maybe i think something he can get a little bit stronger. but his judging was for all dogs the same.
in the protection part the judge had want to see dogs with big grips, power and dominace ( he was a very good SV judge who was able to read all the dogs, compliment on him!). the two helpers had made a excellent job, part 1 Björn Giessen part 2 Lars Bloem...
the VDH IPO Championships are the german selection for the FCI IPO Worldchampionships and i think after this event, that it is not possible to beat the german team this year at the FCI IPO WM !! hope that we can see soon the clips on working-dog.eu...
but there was also a absolut tragedy... Ringo v. Burgwald died after this event !
after a really great protection service of Ringo, he unfortunately broke / together after the meeting. He was able to leave the field even on its own legs, but unfortunately he died shortly thereafter.
My deepest condolences and all my thoughts are with his owner Joerg Fritsche. I wish him much strength and power after this tragic event

Thanks for the info Mickey.
Apparently the translation program had a problem with that. Does anyone else have any details on what happened to Ringo?

After protection work, as the judge wanted to discuss Ringos work , Ringo collapsed and died 15 minutes later in a field.
We grieve much for Ringo v. Burgwald, who has gone over the Rainbow Bridge after protection work at the VDH-Championship in Herne, on 31.07.2011. Ringo was a Dobermann which one gets rarely. He was friendly to adults and children, a spirited working dog who confirmed his working abilities on several big events:
2007 Landesmeister FH1 2009 Vize-Landesmeister der LG Westfalen VGP 2009 Landesmeister FH2 DV DM 2009: 3. Platz IDC WM 2010: Vize-Weltmeister u. Mannschaftsweltmeister DV-DM-2010: Vize-Meister IDC WM '11: Vize-Weltmeister und Vize-Mannschaft-Weltmeister
But in his children he will live on. However, I must accuse the organizers of the DHV-DM-Cup, who have not considered it as necessary to provide a veterinarian on site. With over 60 dogs that were at the start and umpteen dogs that were outside the arena, for me it is shocking and unbelievable at the same time! Maybe a vet would still have saved Ringos life.
Perhaps in future organizers of big events should consider whether it will be worth it to invest € 300 for a veterinarian on site! I am shocked and very sad. Good bye Ringo!!
Ulrike
I ask you all instead of Jörg and Ringo: You all are all welcome to express your condolences, but please waived on speculations. THANK YOU !

I think it is speculation to assume that a vet onsite could have saved him, if it is not known what killed him in the first place. My condolensces to his owner, it is a loss of a very good dog.

The cause of death is unknown at this point.
I agree that it is necessary to have a vet on site during such events.
Condolences to Joerg and his family.
