I am also in Missouri! Looks like you are training with Jake at TRS. I LOVE their training building. I attended the school just a few months ago. You'll have to tell Jake and Kari I said hi ( Tom too if you see him)! Kari should remember Pele, my Dobergirl, as "Mork". lol! Are you in St. Louis or do you travel to train there? Just asking in case you are near me. I'm always looking for a fellow Dobe lover to come train with us. I'm the only one. Everyone else has German shepherds. OB is looking nice. Are you focusing only on PSA or are you going to delve into schutzhund, AKC OB, or anything else, too? I'd bet you could get his CD without much more work.

Vadim: Thank you very much for your comment. Yeah, Agie (Agenor) is a cool dude. I'll post more videos in the future and keep you guys updated on his progress. Have a great week! rafensoda: That's very cool to see another Dobe person in Missouri. Yes, I train at the Tom Rose School with Jake and Kari and the rest of the crew....lots of fun!! We have a PSA club there and recently we had a trial. Of course my dogs are not ready yet, but it was fun to watch. I'll tell them you said hi! What is your name? I actually live in Columbia, MO so I drive to St Louis every weekend for training. It sucks the 2 hour drive, but the training is worth it. Which club do you train with? I might have to stop by sometime when you guys training. As far as training we are focusing on PSA. I would like to get him at least to PSA 1 before we switch to Schutzhund or another sport. I'm not sure what's required for a CD title, I'll have to find out, but that's a great idea, if he already knows most of it...why not

Oh sorry, duh. My name is Ashley Allstun. I train with a group in Cape Girardeau, so it would be very out of the way for you. I was hoping maybe you were a little south of St. Louis rather than west. Our group and I were actually supposed to come up for that PSA trial but we ended up having a friend come down and train with us that weekend, so we decided we could wait for the next one. We had a few dogs ready for their PDC's, but we're mainly focusing on schutzhund here, so it wasn't a huge deal for us that we missed it. Always next time! A CD (AKC novice) is pretty basic stuff. Heeling pattern (on and off leash) with a figure 8, sit stay and recall, stand for exam, and sit (1 minute) and down stays (3 minute). Here are the rules and regulations if you're interested - www.akc.org/pdfs/rulebooks/RO2999.pdfGood luck and I hope the training continues to go well!
