I made a short comment on the still picture ONLY. I don't know what happened before or after. She may have a magnet in her ass that keeps her stuck to the building and keeps her from getting pulled over LOL. PLEASE keep this petty BS on the pet Dobermann lists.

Did Tori even ask to be the featured dog? And was there permission granted to use her photo or was it simply taken from her blog? Tori isn't active on these forums and doesn't go around telling everyone how great her dogs are or how great she is. She doesn't deserve to have people ripping on a single photograph.

The helper working the dog is Ron Marshall for those that don't know. He is one of the best helpers/decoys around IMHO for SchH/PP/Police Work. I like the picture (does not matter if I like the person/dog etc) - a picture is one moment in time. No news to anyone on this forum I'm sure - not easy holding a dobe back that's in any kind of prey...whatever works. It's a good picture...the training being done serves a purpose even for Schutzhund.
How does one get a dog featured on this site? I have a dobermann who's 8th birthday is coming up:) I'm sure some of the transplant DTers would love to rip on my pictures.....

Julie PUHLEEZE No one is ripping on Tori over the photo. I remember when this used to be a WORKING Dobermann Forum and not another DoberPet Forum ;-( Save the melodrama for Doberman Talk and don't go looking to stir up controversy when no insult was intended.

Vadim I'm all for civil work too BUT I'd like to see a much better technique on the part of the handler. Doesn't look real solid :-( no , but you did raise the question ( BAIT ) about the handlers technique.Which struck me as a knock to the handler, and a trolling technique . Then another one seconded your question(BAIT) ,then the stirring was on. Then a third came in to disagree a little and give his world renowned opinion, which in turn caused a fairly good moderator to fall to the question(BAIT) too. It was all quit amusing, because what i saw in the picture was a big ol grin on the handlers face while her and her dog were having themselves a whole lotta fun.:-) Chris Frank

Chris,
I don't give a rats ass what "struck you". I didn't raise any question or bait anyone. I made an observation/comment based on one picture. You may "see" "a handler and her dog having a whole lotta fun" I see a VERY serious dog, and an unprotected decoy. Not so much fun when someone gets bit :-(

We all have opinions, some more or less based on experience. I do not appreciate your passive-aggressive stab at me with your description of "world renowned opinion". If we want this forum to grow and be useful to people then we need to be respectful to one another. If we want it to implode then continue to stab people in the back.

Julie i see nowhere any sign of people talking bad about the handler OR the dog...The discussion is about different people having a different opinion on things with some very funny replies imo.... So stick to the "pooppolls" or "Why does my dog scratches his balls" topics on DT or some other useless forum since it seems stirring things up is YOUR speciality.

He was making an accusation (repeated three times) that I was "baiting" and using a "trolling technique" based on my observation that the technique in the picture was unsafe. I don't have the time, energy or inclination to put up with the drama queen nonsense prevalent on DT and the some of the other pet Dobermann lists. I don't see Tori on the list whining that she's being picked on?

[ Ill look you straight in the eyes, you frighten me not.;-) WTF are you talking about? I don't know you, and have never heard of you. I certainly have done nothing to provoke you into making the kind of statements that you are posting.

Come on folks,
Let's remember this thread is about featuring someone who is taking the time to work thier Dobermann and a dog that seems to be enjoying the work. Both are hard enough to find as it is these days.
If you have personal issues please take them to PM's. I would really prefer not to have to lock this thread.
