dobermanns enheredit Progressive retinal atrophy (PRA) more offen then none dobermann breeds?
does it effect dobermanns more then other breeds?
other breeds have phtvl/phpv ? and is it more comonn in dobermanns?
which testes would be best to make a positive or negtive results?
which test shows better results?

There are many breeds of dogs that have eye diseases - in some dog breeds a DNA test is available, in others not ... as for the Dobermann, I do not belive this breed to be more exposed to eye diseases than other breeds of dogs, also inregard to muts. PRA is a recessive heritage phtvl/phpv is a dominant heritage with incomplete penetration both test should be done, and can be done at the very same time. When having these test done, examination for RD (rential dysplasia) is often also done - which I personally can only recommend. In Europe we have as I know, merely one test which is accepted - don't know how it is in other countries. Hope that answer your questions ...
