I was discussing bedding options with a board member the other day, and it got me wondering...what does everyone use in their crates for bedding?
I have a bed eater so cant have shavings or stuffing in the house. I have found a product called pro fleece that seems to do well against chewers and is super absorbent (especially great for pups and whelping boxes) but I find after quite a bit of washing and abuse from my dogs it really "sheds" and I end up with pro fleece all over the damn place!!
I have heard, and found out the hard way that cedar chips are toxic, and hay and other shavings are a mess.
So other than removing bedding all together (not an option in Canada the frozen north lol) what do you suggest for a safe, easy to clean bedding alternative?

My girl is a shredder too so she gets nada! If she is going to be in the crate for a long time I have a piece of rubber matting (horse stall mat) that was cut to the exact size of the crate, it is very heavy & she doesn't mess w/ it.

Thanks for the link!! I found some similar rubber matts from a packing/shipping supply company I might try out.
Damn shredders, they would be much more comfy if they wouldn't ingest their beds!!!

I buy carpet remnants at the warehouse of a large floor covering store and cut to fit whatever crate. When soiled I just toss them. If I have a puppy who likes to chew the carpet and push it around their crate, then they don't get any carpet until they outgrow that behavior.
