What training do SAR groups require of handlers beyond the training they do with their dog? I don't have a complete list, but so far for my group I know I have to complete four independent study courses online at the FEMA Emergency Mgt. Institute website regarding the Incident Command System and the National Incident Mgt. System, canine first aid, and human first aid and CPR. I'm curious as to what training other groups require.
