The Animal Behavior Clinic at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine is currently enrolling Doberman Pinschers into a study regarding the genetic basis of excessive grooming behavior. If you share your life with a Doberman who repetitively licks his/her paw, has a lick granuloma or has been treated for Acral Lick Dermatitis, your dog may qualify for this study. Participation involves filling out a survey regarding your dog's grooming habits and submitting a blood sample for genetic analysis. Reimbursement for the cost associated with obtaining a blood sample at your local veterinarian's office and shipping the blood sample to Tufts is available. Enrolled participants will receive our written treatment protocol for compulsive grooming behavior. For more information, please contact Nicole Cottam at nicole.cottam@tufts.edu or at 508-887-4802.

I'm guessing Australia is too distant to be a participant? I have a rescue dobe who came with "issues" including flank sucking and OCD grooming
