For those of you that may be stuck on the East side of the Americas on the weekend of March 26-28... Bitten Jonsson will be in Ocala, FL and available for a ztp seminar for those that would like to be able to attend and pass the annual ADA ztp. Please let me know if you would be interested in attending. Okay folks, the seminar will begin Friday the 26th at 10am. We will have a decoy available Friday evening, Saturday morning and evening, and again on Sunday morning. The rest of our time will be filled with the balance of the ztp requirements as well as open discussions/questions regarding the genetics and health in our breed.
Please let me know if you plan on attending so that we have ample lunches available. I will also forward you hotel info and directions.

ZTP Seminar? since when do people have seminars for a german temperament test, to practice what is required? What is the value of the test if the dog is trained for it, like a trial. I know some breeds are changing it all the time so it is a true test of the dogs temperament. I just find it interesting that in the US so many people think different things about what the German Dobermann ZTP really is for  |

It is not so much to train the dog as it is to train the handler. So many folks here in the US have never seen or done this so they have no idea as to what to expect. There are many SchH, Ring, etc. trials that they can go watch but only one or maybe two ZTP's in the country per year. And those are normally on the west coast or in the northeast.
As a side note, we can do a CGC for anyone that is interested during all 3 days.
