I found them while looking at Doberman breeders, any dealings with or opinions of them? They are located in Australia.

www.vonliston.com.au/I am not familiar with this kennel. I reviewed their website and they are listing frozen seamen from some excellent stud dogs. However their bitches have some bloodlines I don't recognize and do not seem to be titled. Also I don't see any health testing information on them. Not to say they are not tested just that they don't mention the results if they were tested. Has anyone had any experience with this kennel? Looks like they have some potential......

I had origionally sold a dog to this kennel as did another breeder in Europe. We both decided not to send the dogs and refunded the money. For me it was due to lack of health testing, titling and so many litters per year.....we have a name for that here. This was almost 2 years ago for me when they were just starting up too, now it seems they are are a breeding machine. I was shocked to see the frozen semen they have on some good dogs.

Its illegal to title and trial dog in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia where Von Liston Kennels are based, that’s why Dobermans in Australia are not titled in Sch or IPO for all those experts that want to put in their 2 cent. As for the titled Dobermans in Australia they are show titled, Von Liston Kennels are Working Doberman breeders not show breeders. As for “BREEDING MACHINE” Landgraf, how do you justify in your books 5 litters in 6 years as breeding machine, common get off your high horse. Yes they have great Doberman semen because they spend to better the breed not just use they only stock, as many do to save a buck, sad. “I had origionally sold a dog to this kennel as did another breeder in Europe” Oh Really a breeder in Europe refunded the money and refused to sell them a Doberman wow you seem to know more about it then i do, so who was this so called breeder in Europe that didn’t decide to sell Von Liston A Doberman please make note and back you statement. Yes Landgraf, you backed out of selling Von Liston Doberman a dogs as money was paid as for your excuses for backing out on the sale was: “he has 4 litters going on and with VERY young dogs with no health or working titles. I don't really feel comfortable selling a dog there I understand that not all females may get titled, but I think you can understand my concerns” HOw can this be if you said it all happend 2 years ago and to date Von Liston has only had 5 litters A, B, C, D, & E, litters? Just becasue a breeding is listed on there website dosent mean its going to hapend stright away thats why its states in the link "PLANNED BREEDINGS" You had a lot of time to decide on not selling Von Liston a dog as you viewed there website many times before that, then as the puppy hit 10 weeks old you decide to back out, wonder why? Who owns the dog now? ?

Hello, I stumbled across this forum while researching some Dobe breeders in Australia. I have lived in Melbourne Australia for fourty years and have been a past member of a prominant Schutzhund club. I say past member because Shutzhund/IPO or any dog sport where the dog rushes toward or bites at a sleeve is illegal. In Victoria if a dog is advertised to have a schutzhund title it is then deemed a "dangerous Dog". The "dangerous Dog" legislation makes your pet into a liability. Yes there are club websites but schutzhund training if any is all underground. In 2009 a very active club got shut down and I personally know that one of the trainers got fined over $30,000. This can all be checked out easily by getting on the Victorian Government Website and looking at the Dangerous dog Act. Hope this helps

Hello Vadim, I did some research for you on the Bitches that Vonliston has on his website. "Kaiserhundz Baroness" has many titled dogs in the pedigree although not advertised. The "Hundesport Kennel" prominent in her pedigree is well respected in the Doberman scene in Australia. They have bred and acchieved many working titles for their dogs. Infact they were the first kennel in Australia to title a Shuzhund III bitch and dominated most of the trials in the late 80's, early 90's. "Von Forell crista" was bred by Vonforell kennels in Kinglake Victoria. They have an excellent reputation as dog breeders and trainers. They also have titled dogs and are active members of the Victorian Doberman Club. Hope this helps.
Hello Landgraf, please be advised that your weblinks to the Schuzhund clubs located in Victoria are in error. The first link is to the Waratah Sport Dog Club Located in "Sydney" New South Wales and not in the state of Victoria. The second Link at my checking had been shut down.
There are no ligitimate Schutzhund clubs operating in Victoria. People can train their dogs without the authorities knowledge and compete in other states where it is still legal, but it is outlawed in Victoria.
Furthermore the Victorian branch of the "Australian National Kennel Council" named "Dogs Victoria" have been trying to introduce legislation making it illegal to import from oversees, dogs with working titles. The German Shepherd Dog Club in Victoria rallied together and got themselves an exemption(Google them and ask for yourself), but the Dobe and Rotty clubs have not been as organised. Victoria is pretty much a "Police State", and I do believe that if your kennel was located here, you would not risk advertising the working titles of your dogs and draw attention to yourself. Working dog people in Victoria have been marginalised and made to feel like criminals. We have to meet together on private properties and train our dogs inside farm buildings as not to be exposed to the general public, who are keen to report us to the authorities. Hope this helps
