Hello-we live in Colorado and have a real nice girl named Deca. She is a black and tan with natural ears. As with most Dobes I've met, she is spoiled rotten. Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken
Welcome to the forum. We have a few members living on Colorado so you may have some dobe neighbors.
Please tell us a bit about your dog. Where did you get her? are you doing any training? Any plans to try a working sport?
Jump in anytime if you have any questions or would like to put in your 2 cents ...

Vadim-thanks for the welcome. We live between Vail and Leadville at 10,200 feet. Deca is a B/T female about 3 years old. We picked her up from a breeder(?) in Kansas, Holthouse. I stopped OB training because of a spinal column injury 6-7 months ago. She is recovering nicely. We have a massage therapist friend that worked on her. Soon we will begin looking for a club in the Denver area. Last year we almost moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico. While looking around we met the folks from the Los Alamos club. Amanda Bean in particular, and everyone else too. That seemed like a good group, but we never moved. So we will be looking in the Denver area. Many years ago I did PP and area training with many Dobes and some other breeds. I am amazed at how much training has changed! So, while Deca will probably will never be physically able to compete. She will probably do well in tracking. And so starts my training and progress. Eventually if I have any talent at this sport, I would like to have a Red male competitor. This forum and its participants are a great resource and iI look forward to being a member.

Hi Ken,
Amanda and her club are a great group. She drops in here from time to time. Maybe we will see her here soon.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to your girl!
