Hello, I've been lurking since the arrival of my pup, Francesca von der Bavarienburg "Kali", who's 20 months old. She's my second Dobermann and my first working girl. We are novices training in French Ring. I look forward to attending a FR trial next weekend to see dogs competing at different levels and I believe there will be one Doberman entered. On the personal side, I'm a practicing doctor of Optometry and live on a ranch with my husband. He and our last Doberman were employed as trackers by Texas Parks and Wildlife for a time. Kali is a fantastic girl, loads of confidence and loves the work. We're lucky to have a good trainer fairly nearby. I've got many questions and look forward to reading and learning here. Welcome Mich!
So good to see you and Kali here. Its also exciting to learn about another dobe training for FR. Who are you training with?
Any idea who the dobe competing in the trial is?
We have several people here training dobes for ring sports so jump on in with any questions you might have.

Thank you for the welcome Vadim!
I've enjoyed watching Kaz's impressive YouTube videos many times and shared them with others who admire Dobermans. We are training with Dave Kroyer. He has shown me a photo of him on a podium next to Agir and was intereseted in Kaz's work. I believe it's Terry Clary's Doberman who is registered in the trial next week. If Kali and I are able to continue to progress, our goal is to try for a brevet the end of this year. Still a long way to go, but the fun is in the journey.

Hello Cornelia! I'll check on the etiquette, but I plan to take a movie camera to the trial next week. I find it so helpful to review in slow motion and see the nuances of the dog's movements that I can't appreciate as much in real time. If I get permission to do so, I'll post anything interesting here.

Thanks for the welcome Tamara. I know I'm very lucky to have Dave nearby. I hope Kali and I (mostly me- LOL) can live up to his expectations ..... regardless, we will have fun trying!
