thanks guys I got a response and they are mailing me the forms. Details are still kinda foggy about digital x-rays. But if I interpreted the email right the veterinarian has to send them to the address. and payment just put in envelope with x-rays too! thanks for all who contributed to my questions

Hello Grabichler,
I wonder if you could advice how the DV system of hip scoreing works. I know the grading is HD1 or HD2 etc but here in the UK our system scores from 1 to 53 for each hip with a total 106 , The breed mean average is a total of 10 for both hips and it is recommended 'we' breed from animals with a score below this.
How many points would the German system have to score HD1 and how many to HD2 in comparison to UK system. We are starting to see Euro studs being used more and more but we don't know how the two systems equate.
Brian.
PS for Bitten Karas score is 3-5 =8 I think this is the lowest score from your imports to us in the UK. As you already know there are no rules making us score our dogs even if breeding them , the KC just register any dog as long as it's parents are registered.

From the FCI Pages: www.fci.be/commissions.aspxwww.fci.be/circulaires/46-2009-annex1-en.pdfwww.fci.be/circulaires/46-2009-annex2-en.pdfNone of these look as a form like the DV form, but all the info that the OFA wants...reg number, tattoo or microchip number, name of vet or clinic doing the xrays, owners name and dogs name need to be ON the xrays. we found a place in Texas that will print digital pictures onto xray film and are relatively inexpensive...they charged I think $7.50 per view and the actual cost of shipping and were very prompt. this is their site: xrayexpress.net/animalServices.htmlAs for the actual DV forms, you're better off contacting Roberto Zorzi, he has the forms and will send them to you... you send the films to him and I guess he sends a package to Germany on a regular basis. For that you go to www.americandobermann.com/ then go to the page for "Breeding Regulation" I gave you the FCI links because I believe this is the info everyone needs. The kneecaps being visible shows that the legs were pulled equally and neither was twisted (or twisted too much). It's not an xray of the knees, it's a way to check positioning during the hip xray. Hope this helps. I've just learned all this stuff in the past few weeks. Our OFA hip pictures already have all the necessary info on them, but my vet would have to sign the form from the DV attesting to the fact that these are the films he took on this dog.

The DV has always told me NOT to send money in advance, but to wait until the bill arrives in the mail. I do know though that others from the US have sent money with the x-rays right away. I personally would wait until I get a bill and then you can wire the amount.

If you need help, I can always wire the money from here in Germany and you send me the equivalent in $$ through Paypal.
