Hello; Recently joined forum.
Bd. certified, fellowship-trained spinal surgeon/JD; recently retired. Ex-military (NAV), Dessert Storm era.
Love Doberman breed; best looking, smartest, most loyal dogs there are, in my view. Now that I'm semi-retired, work from home, don't travel much(been everywhere I'd want to go...) and not moving again have time to devote to training a new dobe; haven't had the right situation/ environment(too many moves...) since my last one, Chewie, back in the late 80's. Still miss him.
Looking for tips a reputable breeder, within 8 hr drive of Sedona AZ. So, AZ, NV, So.Cal., NM or Utah borders would work; I would not feel comfortable shipping a puppy. Want black/rust, male or female doesn't matter. Key is health, and temperament; most interested in agility and obedience work. No rush; just looking for the right match.
Thank you; good too be aboard!

Welcome. This forum has not been super active lately, but hopefully that will change. Good luck in your search.

Thanks; I'll keep checking this site. I have a friend in Flagstaff who used to 'breed', Pat Policastro, who is helping with some leads....Have checked online a few other sites; very "catty", for dog people. I'm looking for a healthy dobe, with a good temperament....not a lot of drama. I will give him/her a good home and care.

Have you tried the UDC (United Doberman club) breeder referral If you are looking for strong working lines that is the best place to start. You can also check DPCA.org but are more NA. Incredible Dobes is in California.
