Just got back from the vet and he advised me that the x-ray indicates there's a 90% chance of having six puppies. This litter is due in about a week. The breeding is Avatar v. Bahnhof (SchH 2) x Chanine v. Sturmhunde (from a breeding of Avatar x Katja v. Mahuba). If you're interested in hard Dobe bloodlines (Eschenhof/Nymphenburg in particular Zorro v. Eschenhof and Amanda v. Eschenhof) preserved straight from the psycho '70s the pups from this litter are what you're looking for.

The single male (brown collar cannot be seen in photo below) and the orange collar female have been having some intense tangles starting a couple of days ago (at 2 weeks old), so far I haven't been able to pick up on who's the instigator between those two. They are ALL growling as of yesterday (taking after Avatar) - purple girl has been verbalizing a growl for a week. I caught a couple of them raiding the dry food in Abby's food bowl this evening. Photo from tonight - image deleted

Best wishes on your litter! I can't see any of the pics tho. Thank you Tamara. I was able to see those images however I appreciate the notice that you weren't able to see them. So I deleted them until I've the time to post them from another image hosting site. Right now I'm doing the weaned puppy gig plus taking care of my two adults plus trying to stay ahead of my recent arrival 14 week old Chicca plus trying to keep up with all the duties of my business - needless to say I'm covered up atm!

Alright guys and gals, we've got 3 very nice females currently available. I'm keeping one female (undecided between them at the moment - all very nice girls, a tough choice!) and it appears the male has been claimed by his forever loving home. If you have a verifiable track record with working dogs and solid references then I will make a very substantial discount. These are very rare, nearly extinct Eschenhof bloodlines, highly praised and regarded by old timers who've actually seen them. Sure, others have some very nice dogs from time to time however these puppies are extraordinary since not only are they rarely produced, their genetics are not reliant on those two primary working bloodlines which everyone has redundantly in their pedigrees, PLUS the one prevalent stud dog known to throw nervy dogs shows up only twice in this pedigree, and those two appearances are 8 & 9 generations back (we deliberately take pains to minimize the influence of this one stud dog in our breeding program, however he's so predominate that's difficult to do for anyone breeding working Dobes). We do not bred these dogs for prestige nor money, we do it to produce our own personal dogs as well as our passion for preserving these very clear-headed, very dominant and high aggression working Dobes with very high, balanced drives. (Considering how much work I miss by having a litter along with the cost of health tests, progesterone tests, surgical AI, stud fee, etc., etc. here's no way in the world I'll ever recoup the money I have in these dogs unless I start playing 'the game' that others play, and that's just not going to happen - Colman never did and neither will I.) Are the puppies cropped and docked or natural? Dewclaws and tails have been done, I leave it up to their new owners as to whether they want to crop the ears.

But I wish you the very best and I hope to see your puppies on the podium and doing great things! I love to see non run of the mill breedings!!
