Well after a crazy weekend of flying 6 hours each way to get our ZTP....we got it! Eiko vom Landgraf is now ZTP SG1A. There were a total of 13 dog entered in it and although all did pass it was sad to see that some did, when they struggled in the temperment portion and protection being nice to these dogs only hurts our breed Eiko got jammed really bad so I hope he will be ok. I did get video of all the dogs but and will post at some point. Then everyone can judge for themselves!! Wendy Attachments:

Wendy,
I'd like to see video of all the dogs, but I don't need to see the video to recognize a jam based on the still picture alone :-( I'd be disappointed if I'd traveled that far only to have every dog pass. It kind of demeans the ZTP IMHO

Congratulations Wendy ...
From what you are writeing, it seems that the evaluation according to the basic test, must have been amended to the overall quality of the dogs.

Congratulations on your ZTP SG1A!
Ouch, the picture tells the story. Was the helper not ready for a fast dog?
If what you say is true about the lenient judging at this event. It IS too bad. I'd like to see video of the dogs too.
That just shows that you can't judge a dog on titles alone!

edited to add: Was surprised by the cost after checking the website. I would be pissed if I didn't get a ZTP after spending over $200!

Congrats as well..
Eiko is on his way... I suspect he will do VERY well in the future.. Hope he is all right, helper almost looks like he was taken by surprise by a fast dog??? Anyway, congrats again on your success with Eiko.....

Congratulations on the sg1A ZTP to dog and handler/trainer/breeder!!! I have seen some video's of Eiko and he looks like a very nice young male. I hope he was not hurt, the photo looks bad. I look forward to seeing the video's of the other dogs. I have been told that the helper for the west coast ADA ZTP's will be Mark Gommersal IMO he is very good and very safe also works dobermanns so will be good for our very fast ones

That was almost sad to watch that helper.. One thing for sure is that Eiko is not only fast but quick as well.. REALLY like that dog... Over the next couple of years he is going to emerge into a force....

Wow. You can bounce the long bite and still be breedable, theoretically for the improvement of the breed. Seriously, does this not compute to people breeding as a problem, or THE problem. If 20 years ago the DV had started failing all dogs that bounced on their 2nd ZTP attempt do you think this would still be a breed issue?
Eiko looked great by the way Wendy, too bad the helper was expecting something slow.
